Russell Kyle "Rusty" Bolen , age 33 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away near Sasakwa, Oklahoma on November 6, 2022.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. Ed Bray will officiate, and burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery. Casket bearers are Ivan Gearhart, Alan Wroolie, Wade Hudson, Dave Herriman, Brad Pierce, Lee Bolen, David Woods, and Court Pierce. Honorary bearers are Cory Calhoun, Kyle Bolen, Cash Bolen, Wayne Bolen, and Steve Snyder.
Rusty was born October 14, 1989 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma to Russell Wade Bolen and Teresa Kathleen (Pierce) Watters. He graduated from Sasakwa High School, and he worked as a Roustabout. He was also the co-owner and operator for Bolen Energy. He went to bondsman school and automotive vo-tech. Rusty grew up on South Canadian River, and he loved riding on the river, fishing, hunting, and trapping turtles. He could fix anything, and he loved to grow a garden and to cook. He married Kelsey Colene Morris on October 18, 2022 in Konawa. Rusty was a father, husband, friend, brother, and a son. He asked for very little, but gave so very much. He was pure gold with a magnetic personality, and “to know him is to love him”.
He is survived by his wife, Kelsey Bolen of the home; his parents; three sons, Kyle-14, Cash-10, and Ryatt-3, all of Konawa; three daughters, Ember-7, Reagan-5, and Delilah-7 months, also all of Konawa; and two brothers, Wayne Bolen, and Deaton Bolen, both of Konawa.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond Pierce and Lucretia Kay Thompson; and great grandparents, James Clifford Pierce and Audra Aurora Pierce.
