Winnie Loraine Welch (Smart) Williams, 98 years old, former longtime Seminole resident, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Duncan, Oklahoma. Winnie was born on October 27, 1913 in Alma, Oklahoma to Elbert C. and Addie Smart. Winnie was a homemaker and worked as a waitress. She attended schools in Wewoka, Oklahoma and was a member of the Baptist church. Winnie enjoyed traveling in an R.V., loved to fish, cooking, and shopping. Winnie married Odes Williams who preceded her in death. Her daughter-in-law, Nita Moore of Duncan, Oklahoma, her step-daughter, Neta Sue Carrino of Owasso, Oklahoma, a sister Wanda Holder of San Diego, California, survive Winnie. Six grandchildren,  three step grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Odes Williams, son, David E. Moore, daughter, Deanna Griesler, and sister Claudia Nurse. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma. Pastor Randy Southerland will officiate at the services. Funeral Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
