Wilma Plank Tappe, age 82, longtime Seminole resident died Friday, May 30, 2008 at Seminole Estates Nursing Home. rnrnWilma was born March 14, 1926 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Lee and Ethel (Thomas) Darnall.rnrnWilma attended and graduated from Seminole High School and later married Ervin Plank in 1946, in Seminole and later married Harry Tappe in 1969 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, he preceded her in death in 1975.rnrnWilma was a member of the Ideal Street Baptist Church since 1948, was very active in the Ideal Street Ladies Support Soldiers. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. rnrnShe is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ronnie and Kathy Plank of Seminole, Oklahoma, one grandchild, Bryan Steele of Virginia Beach, Virginia and one great-grandchild, Landen Steele of Meridian, Mississippi. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Roy Darnall, sister, Edith Miller Fox, nephew Kertis Fox and cousin Donnie Stallings.rnrnServices are planned for 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 2, 2008. The funeral will be held at Ideal Street Baptist Church and burial will be at Little Cemetery with Rev. Leo Streater officiating. rnrnCasket bearers will be Floyd Griffin, Terry Casey, Glen Azlin, Jack Webber, Larry Cathy and Jason Soword.rnrnWilma worked as a meat wrapper in Nichols and Bestyet Grocery stores' in Seminole and retired in 1991.
