Wilma Dean (Carter) Hill, 73 year-old, longtime New Lima resident passed from this life Thursday, March 20, 2008 at her home in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born September 2, 1934 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma to parents John Harvey Carter and Dena (Harbour) Carter.rnrnIn 1954 Wilma moved to Seminole County from McAlester, Oklahoma. She then married Bryce Dale Hill on August 16, 1956 in Berryville, Arkansas.rnrnWilma had worked as a hair stylist and cosmetologist until she became the secretary at New Lima Public Schools where she worked until her retirement in 1995.rnrnWilma was also active in the community where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seminole and she was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the A.A.R.P. as well as the Seminole County Retired Educators Association.rnrnSurvivors include her husband of 52 years and longtime New Lima Superintendent, Bryce Hill of the home. Two sons and daughters-in-law also survive, Bryce Anthony ?Tony? Hill and his wife Sunshine of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Brent Dale Hill and his fianc? Kimberly Winkelman of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Other survivors include one sister Alma York of Delaware City, DE as well as a host of other family and dear friends.rnrnWilma is preceded in death by her parents John Harvey Carter and Dena Carter; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Ollie Hill; three brothers-in-law, Gene Hill, Harold Hill and Wade York; one sister-in-law, Rachel Risenhoover and one nephew, Gary York.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. ? Monday ? March 24, 2008 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.
