Wilma Ruth "Willie" Sanders Harrison, a resident of Seminole, died on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City after a long illness.rnWillie was born on November 26, 1943, in Pryor, Oklahoma, to the late Leon P. Sanders and Leta Mae Arthur Sanders. She was a 1961 graduate of Bowlegs High School and a veteran of the United States Women's Army Corp. rnWillie retired from the Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture in 2002. rnWillie was a much-loved and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She put her family first in her life. She was a talented artist, accomplished cook and a lover of literature and poetry. She also was a cut-throat Scrabble player.rnShe was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother Jim Sanders.rnShe is survived by her sons, Ayton Harrison and Eddie Harrison; her daughter Paige Harrison; two grandsons, Skylar Wilson and Tristan Harrison; sisters Judy Montgomery, Sharon Terral and husband George, Norma McEntire and husband Ernie, Jo Lystad and husband Dean; Lynne Lenhart and husband Jeff, and Cindy Todd; brother Leon Sanders and wife Charla.rnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home at 100 West Strothers and are set for the 10:30 a.m. hour on Monday, July 14, 2008.
