Wilma Jean Danielson

Wilma Jean (Shaw) Danielson, 96 year old longtime Seminole County resident, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Seminole Care and Rehabilitation Center. Wilma was born April 15, 1922, in Albion, Oklahoma to parents Joseph Edward Shaw and Dovie Opal (Wilson) Shaw. On February 8, 1941, Wilma married Oscar Adelbert Danielson in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  They resided East of Seminole for many years.  Oscar’s job took them to Oxford and Hays, Kansas before retiring in 1985 and settling in Seminole to enjoy retirement.  The couple attended Wewoka Church of Christ, where Oscar served as an Elder for many years. Wilma loved being involved in the church, cooking, gardening, and raising cattle with Oscar.  She loved family gatherings, had a witty sense of humor, and was the one snapping the Polaroid’s during family dinners.  Wilma loved and enjoyed being with her grandchildren, teaching them about the Bible.  She had many pen pals and enjoyed sending letters and cards to each of them. Wilma is survived by her son, Dannie Danielson and wife Gwen, of Edmond, Oklahoma, her daughters, Judith Wills of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Joyce Morgan and husband Albert of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Carolyn Sue Alexander and husband Marty of Wewoka, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Donna Wills Hale of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Deborah Corwin and husband Owen of Bristow, Oklahoma, Stephanie Craig and husband Jon of Seminole, Oklahoma, Dannie Danielson Jr. and wife Dawn of Edmond, Oklahoma, Brian Danielson and wife Aubree of Edmond, Oklahoma, Gregory Morgan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kimberly Gee and husband John of Newalla, Oklahoma, and Kristen Sarntee of Wewoka, Oklahoma. Great-grandchildren: Joshua Little, Auston Corwin, Meredith Corwin, Elizabeth Corwin, Connor Corwin, Tyler Craig, Mason Craig, Lauren Danielson, Wyatt Danielson, Luca Danielson, Jayden Danielson, Lindsey Danielson, Lacey Danielson, John Logan Gee and Kailey Gee. Wilma’s special friends and caregivers, were Shelli Pratt, LaDonna Norma, Charlene Wyrick and Anita Moreland.  Sammy, her dog, best friend and companion for many years. Wilma was preceded in death by her loving spouse, Ocar A. Danielson, her parents, Joseph and Dovie Shaw, brothers, Troy Shaw, Gene Shaw, Jerry Shaw, Bill Shaw, Dewain Shaw, Jackie Lee Shaw and sister, Thelma Shaw, son-in-law, Don Wills and great-grandson, Jarrot Little. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Church of Christ in Wewoka, Oklahoma with Aaron Olsbrook officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers will be: Greg Morgan, Joshua Little, John Gee, Brian Danielson, Dannie Danielson Jr., Owen Corwin and Wyatt Danielson.
