Willie Robertson

Willie Mae Robertson, 91 year old lifelong Maud resident passed from this life, July 17, 2006 at Seminole Medical Center. She was born June 1, 1915 in Alabama to parents, Melinda Julie (Smith) Robertson & Jessie Jarett Robertson. She moved to the Maud area at the age of 10.rnrnWillie, married John J. Robertson on February 28, 1936 in Seminole, Oklahoma.rnShe was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Maud.rnrnMrs. Robertson enjoyed playing the keyboard, piano & drums with local county musicians playing "Real County" music.rnrnMrs. Robertson is survived by her husband, John J. Robertson of the home.rnrnOne daughter, Rose L. Reich of Maud, Oklahoma.rnrnOne sister, Faye Higgs of Odessa, Texas.rnrnSix grandchildren; Kim, Susie, Justin, Clint, Raylene & Kelly.rnrnAlso surviving are 12 great-grandchildren.rnrnMrs. Robertson is preceded in death by her Parents and by three sons; Jimmy Ray Robertson who died in 1945, due to a miscarriage caused by a tornado that came through Del City, Oklahoma and injured her while she was carrying her soon expectant son. Two other sons also preceded her, Jack Robertson in 1976 and Max Robertson in 1998.rnrnGraveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 21, 2006 at Wolf Cemetery with Rev.
