William Walker

William W. "Winky" Walker, age 48 of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2005 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was born December 3, 1956 in San Francisco, California to Billy Jay and Dorothy Ann (Burton). He served in the US Airforce from 1976-1978.  He worked as an agent for Shelter Insurance Company for several years then became a carpenter. He is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Burton of Maud; one son, Will Walker, III of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one daughter, Brandy Walker of New Port Richey, Florida;two sisters, Doreena Hooker and Suzi Garner of Maud, Oklahoma; girlfriend, Star Hollingshead of Shawnee, Oklahoma; he is also survived by seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Maud with Rev. Wayne Taylor officiating.  Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud. Casket bearers will be: Jason Medows, Lonnie Brooks, Ray Haws, Willie Hooker, Waylon Hooker, Marty Guinn, Lawrence Brooks and May Day Walker. Honorary bearers will be: Seth Ryan, John Anthony, Hill Hooker and Geoff Garner. Services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home - Maud, Oklahoma.
