William "Irv" Mullins at 90 years old quietly passed early on Sunday, August 27, 2007. He was born near Purcell, Oklahoma on November 10, 1915 to Ernest and Clytie (Costley) Mullins. He remained in Purcell until moving to Oklahoma City to attend Business college. While there he met and married a local Seminole girl, Kay Harmon Mullins on April 4, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.rn rnIrv served in World War II advancing to captain. He was a member of the Seminole VFW. After returning home he and Kay moved to Texas where he worked numerous years for Glidden Paint Company. He later worked in construction. He was a charter member of the Northgate Christian Church in El Paso, Texas. When Kay?s mother, Rillia Harmon health declined they moved back to Seminole to take care of her. Irv kept busy volunteering many years at Interfaith ministries. He and Kay were also active at the First Baptist Church, where he worked with the homebound ministries and was a greeter. The two were inseparable, always together. Kay passed on in April 15, 2006. They are now together again. rnIrv leaves behind his son Terry and wife Yvette Mullins of Katy, Texas, one brother, Hugh and wife Virginia Mullins of Midwest City, Oklahoma and numerous nephews, nieces and other family and friends.rn rnHe was preceded in death by his parents, wife and five sisters.rnSpecial Thanks to caregivers Marilyn and Irvin Dixon.rn rnFuneral Services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Clark officiating.
