William H. “ Bill “ Hatley, 69, of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma went to his Heavenly Home on Sunday, June 30, 2013 in Ft. Gibson. Bill was born February 27, 1944 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Millard David and Julia Irene (Walker) Hatley. Bill grew up in Henryetta, attended and graduated from Henryetta High School, and graduated from OSU Okmulgee Tech School in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Bill also had lived and worked in Shawnee, Oklahoma for many years. Bill was retired from Pratt’s Grocery in Shawnee, Oklahoma where he was produce manager. He was the founder of A-1 Cab Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was sole-proprietor of “ A-Hote Wrecker,” in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Bill was a charter member of the Sallateeska Baptist Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Bill loved nature and being outdoors. He loved planting and watching things grow, enjoyed his family, and loved teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish, using his family traditional techniques while fishing. Bill loved bowling and played on bowling leagues during his younger years. Bill was also a champion Boxer in the welterweight division and is in the “Guinness book of records “ in 1963 as having the fastest hands in boxing. Bill married Wyvonna L. Saumty of Shawnee, Oklahoma, on August 8, 1964 at the Sallateeska Baptist Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma Bill is survived by his loving wife Wyvonna L. Hatley; of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, one son, Dusty Bill Allen Hatley of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, two daughters Kristina Parry and her husband Ron of Greeley, Colorado, Shondae Dodd and her husband Gregory of Eufaula, Oklahoma, two sisters Jimmie Ann Evans of Henryetta, Oklahoma and Betty Price of Tulsa, Oklahoma and thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren with one due to arrive in October, and a host of family and friends, and his beautiful and ever so loving Cocker Spaniel “Blawn –D”. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one son and daughter. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Cremation services following. A special thanks to Dena Jones of First Choice Hospice of Wagonor, Oklahoma for her special care. There will be a reception and lunch following services at the Sallateeska Baptist Church on Garretts Lake Road in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
