William Paul Haddican, 91year-old, died at his home in Seminole, Oklahoma, March 12, 2010. He was born to Walter Paul Haddican and Mary (Schmitz) Haddican in Satanta, Kansas, on September 29, 1918. He graduated from Satanta High School in Satanta, Kansas. He went on to serve in the Army Air Force during World War II where he earned the rank of Corporal. He also earned the American Defense Service Medal; American Service Medal; Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. William married Dana Patricia Ramey in Liberal, Kansas, on May 26, 1950. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Maria Kennedy; and two brothers, Eugene Haddican and Harold Haddican. William is survived by his wife, Dana of the home; one daughter, Mary Patricia Haddican, St. John, Kansas; one son, Earl Ramey Haddican of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; one brother, Glenn Haddican, of Banning, California; as well as several nieces and nephews. Family request that donations be contributed in memory of William to a charity of your choice. Visitation for William will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Graveside funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2010 at Maple Groves Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma. Rev. Gary Willburn will officiate the service.
