Longtime Seminole resident William Leon Freeman passed away, Tuesday, August 1, 2006.rnrnHe was born on September 15, 1915 in Stratford, Oklahoma to John and Eula Mae (Horn) Freeman. rnrnHe married Julia Nethelene (Hinkle) Freeman on July 4, 1939. She preceded him in death after 45 years of marriage on September 20, 1986. rnrnHe was a graduate from East Central and the University of Oklahoma. rnrnLeon was a school teacher and book keeper for 32 years where he taught in Seminole schools as well as the Seminole College, where he taught accounting and other business subjects. He was also a former school teacher, administrator and coach at Stratford and Quinton Schools. He retired from teaching in 1978. rnrnHe was a Veteran of WWII, was a payroll accountant and a member of the Seminole Bass Club for 30 years.rnrnHe is survived by son and daughter-in-law; Bob and Barbara Freeman of Tulsa, Oklahoma, one brother, J.T. Freeman of Stratford, Oklahoma, two grandchildren; Bobby Keith Freeman and Debra Dean, three great grandchildren; Ian, Collin , and Tristan Dean, and a special friend, Wilma Garrett. rnrnHe is preceded in death by his parents, John and Eula Mae Freeman, wife, Julia Freeman, and one brother, Marvin Freeman.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Saturday, August 5, 2006 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev.
