William Dobbs

William “Bill” Haskell Dobbs Jr., 75 year old Yukon, Oklahoma resident, died Thursday April 19, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bill was born January 10, 1943 in Huntington Beach, California, to William Haskell Dobbs Sr. and Veta (Johnson) Dobbs. Bill was the co-owner of the second Sonic Drive-in ever built. He worked in restaurant management and also as an insurance adjuster. Bill enjoyed square dancing in his free time. Cleta Mae and Bill crossed paths and were married in Bowlegs, Oklahoma in January of 1985. Cleta preceded him in death on March 24, 2017. Bill is survived by his son Gregg Dobbs and wife Vickie of Yukon, Oklahoma, his daughter Shannon Hill and husband Kenneth of Eric, Oklahoma, sister Betty Bowman and husband Chuck of Edmond, Oklahoma and many other family and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday May 4, 2018 at the Community of Christ Church in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Rev. Jim Collier officiating. Burial will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery also in Seminole, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
