Willas Dale Crenshaw , age 78 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away at his home January 24, 2022 under Humanity Hospice Care.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. Pam Shirk will officiate.
Willas was born March 10, 1943 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Willas E. Crenshaw and Dorene (Alsbrook) Crenshaw. He graduated from Wewoka High School; attended Murray State; and he earned a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University. He married Wanda Lee Clark on January 31, 1964 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Willas was a Vice-President and Chief Loan Officer. He worked at Oklahoma State Bank in Ada, and he retired from Heritage Bank in Byng, Oklahoma. He was a member of the American Angus Association, and he loved raising Angus cattle, fishing, and watching Konawa, OU and OSU sports.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Crenshaw of the home; one son, Joe Crenshaw and wife, Jackie of Konawa; one daughter, Jolene Poore and husband Kenny of Konawa; one brother, Harry Crenshaw and wife, Rita of Byng, Oklahoma; two sisters, Willadean Ramsey of Jones, Oklahoma, and Marilyn Tipton of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Kenna Lee Poore, Royce Blanton, Kalei Blanton, Chyanne Crenshaw, and Adriann Crenshaw; and one great grandchild, Olivia Wilson-Blanton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willas and Dorene Crenshaw; one sister, Sarah Coursey and her husband, Dan; and two brothers-in-law, Joe Tipton, and Don Ramsey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60606 - Website: Alz.org, or to a charity of your choice.
