Willa Parsons

Willa Faye Parsons, longtime Seminole and Shawnee resident, age 80 passed away, July 8, 2007, at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with her family by her side.rnrnMrs. Parsons was born August 2, 1926, at Wildhorse, Oklahoma, to Campbell Wallace and Janie Ruth (Farmer) Smith. She was raised in the Seminole and Shawnee area before she moved to Tulsa in 1994.rnrnWilla Faye was a longtime manager for the Handy Dandy Convenience Store Chain in Tecumseh and Shawnee stores until her retirement.rnrnShe was preceded in death by her husband, Odis M. Parsons, in 1993. They were married on November 6, 1946, at Pawhuska, Oklahoma.rnrnShe was also preceded in death by her parents, Campbell Wallace and Janie Ruth Smith, and 7 brothers and sisters.rnrnShe is survived by one daughter and son- in -law, Linda and Jerry Baxter of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and one son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Susan Parsons of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Her Grandchildren, Bob Baxter, Robbie Baxter of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ronnie and John Parsons of Seminole, Oklahoma, and Emily and Amanda Parsons of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Her great grandchildren, Brandi and Brandon Baxter of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Ethan and Liberty Parsons of Seminole, Oklahoma, and many nieces and nephews.rnrnGraveside services are planned for Wednesday, July 11, 2007; at 2:00 P.M. services will be held at Graveside at Little Cemetery.rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, 100 W.
