Wilford Daniels

Seminole resident Wilford C. Daniels passed away on November 2, 2009 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 86. He was born on October 16, 1923 in Hennessey, Oklahoma to Clarence and Bernice (Fee) Daniels.  He married Emma (De Buck) on November 20, 1973, she preceded him in death.   Wilford moved to Seminole from San Francisco, California where he was a bus operator. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole and was also a member of the Primetimers at First Baptist Church. He served in the United States army during WWII.   He also loved bowling. He is survived by two sisters; Opal Riggin of Owasso, Oklahoma, Zella Reagan of Conroe, Texas and brother Wayne Daniels of Enid, Oklahoma, step-daughter, Shirley Green and her husband Ralph of California.  For the past two years Wilford had been living in Okemah with his nephew Bruce Riggin and his wife Gina and their children, Ranon, Carlon and Brenton, he is also survived by a host of other nieces, nephews and family and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.  Interment will follow in Dover, Oklahoma.
