Wilburn Henry

Wilburn Newton Henry, Jr., 67 Wilburn Newton Henry, Jr. longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 67. Wilburn was born on March 19, 1949 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents, Wilburn Newton Henry, Sr. and Margie Marie (Lasiter) Henry. After graduating from Seminole High School in 1967, he was a salesman in the family business, Henry’s Home Furnishings in Seminole. Later he was in sales for several different companies. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seminole and a Number One Sooner Fan. Wilburn was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed by his family and friends. Wilburn is survived by one son, Shawn Henry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Chanel Dobrzenski and her husband Danny of Austin, Texas; one sister, Gloria Wheeler and her husband Danny of Seminole, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Kylee Henry and Nate Henry. Wilburn was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn Newton Henry, Sr. and Margie Henry. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 14, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with burial taking place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma. Rev. Russell Vicars will officiate the services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
