Wendle C. Lee passed away at the age of 95 on March 9, 2021. He was born on January 29, 1926 in Cullman, Alabama to parents Luther J. Lee and Lillian Venus (White) Lee. Wendle entered the military in 1944 and was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1946. He worked as a truck mechanic for Mayflower Moving and Atlas Moving companies until his retirement.
Wendle is survived by his daughter; Brenda Hoyt of Seminole, Oklahoma, his brothers; Terry J. Lee, Larry M. Lee and Don K. Lee, his sisters: Nell McAnnally and her husband Mike, Joyce Hood and her husband Carter and Shirley Ingram, granddaughter; Summer LeAnn Norton and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia who passed away on October 18, 2018, his brothers; Charles Lee and Chuck Lee and his son-in-law; Billy Norton.
Military graveside services for Wendle will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, March 12, 2021 at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Terry Lee, Don Lee, Billy Norton and Kade Norton.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
