Weldon C. Willbanks, 83, Longtime Seminole resident passed away, Friday, October 6, 2006 at Seminole Medical Center, Seminole, Oklahoma. Weldon was born December 5, 1922 in Alvord, Texas to Tom C. and Loveta (Limberg) Willbanks. He met and married Alice Marie Sanger on February 20, 1956 in Castlerock, Colorado.rnHis Wife Alice Marie Willbanks preceded him in death on August 3, 2002.rnrnWeldon was a self-employed rancher and welder. He loved farming and ranching and raising chickens. Weldon was an inventor and had some of his machinery patented. Weldon loved to buy and fix up old farm machinery, and had it for sale at his home East of Seminole on Highway 270.rnrnWeldon graduated from Frederick High School and later attended a trade school in Pueblo, Colorado. Weldon also served during World War II in the U.S. Army where he was a private, & received the good conduct medal and World War II Victory medal.rnrnWeldon is survived by his 3 sons,rnGary Willbanks of Bowlegs, Oklahoma, Earl Willbanks of Riesel, Texas and Randy Willbanks of Seminole,Oklahoma.rn4 sisters, Ernestine Little of Scottsdale, Arizona, Imogene Schrick of Weatherford, Texas, Betty Kiker of Hereford, Texas and JoAnn Woods of Frederick, Oklahoma, 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
