Weldon Roy Siler, 73 year-old, life long Seminole resident passed from this life Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Seminole Hospital. He was born February 24, 1937 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Cecil Roy Siler and Ethel Mae (Turner) Siler. Weldon graduated from Wolf High School in 1955. He went on to serve in the United States Army. Weldon later worked for Southwestern Bell for over 35 years before retiring in 1995. Weldon was very active serving the Lord as music leader, clerk and treasurer of Wolf Freewill Baptist Church where he had been a longtime member. Survivors include two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ronald and Lois Siler of Seminole, Oklahoma and Larry Siler of Wolf, Oklahoma; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara Barlow of Seminole, Oklahoma and Linda and Ronnie Isaacs of Konawa, Oklahoma; four nephews, Gary Barlow of Seminole, Oklahoma, Doyle Barlow of Baytown, Texas, Marty Siler of Seminole, Oklahoma and Michael Isaacs of Prague, Oklahoma; three nieces, Ronda Isaacs of North Richland Hills, Texas, Amy Self and Christy Underwood both of Seminole, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. Weldon is preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law, J.B. Barlow who died in 1975. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2010 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with military honors. Rev. Allen Wood and Bro. Winfred Lowe will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Wolf Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be: Michael Isaacs, Doyle Barlow, Gary Barlow, Marty Siler, Jarrad Self and Gage Underwood. Honorary Bearers will be: Austin Siler and the men of Wolf Freewill Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
