Weldon Blalock

Weldon Blalock, 92 year old lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at his home in Seminole.  He was born March 5, 1925 in Seminole to parents, John L. Blalock and Florence (Castor) Blalock.  On June 1, 1946, Weldon married Geraldine Moore in Seminole, Oklahoma. Weldon was a member of Highway Baptist Church in Seminole.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. Weldon worked many years for the City of Seminole Water Department. Weldon is survived by 2 sons, Randy Blalock of Seminole, Oklahoma and John Blalock and his wife Karen of Mesa, Arizona; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and by a host of other family and dear friends. Weldon is preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Blalock, by his wife of 64 years, Geraldine (Moore) Blalock, who died September 4, 2010, by one brother, John Blalock Jr., by two sisters, Toot Richards and Lois Drewrey. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery where Weldon will be laid to rest next to his wife of 64 years Geraldine Blalock. Casket Bearers will be: Jake Blalock, Gauge Robertson, Shane Robertson, Garry Grant, Keith Cheatwood and R.D. Lozier. Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Dean Anderson, Harry Thompson, Dean Galleciez and Gerald Carter. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
