W.E. “ Pat “ Stafford, 94 longtime Seminole resident passed away, Friday, September 26, 2014 at Integris Seminole Medical Center in Seminole, Oklahoma. Pat was born on April 13, 1920 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to Ethel (Arnold) and George Marcus Price Stafford. Pat was a truck driver during his working careers for several prominent Seminole businesses such as National Concrete, Murphy Lumber Company, Clausing’s Feed Store, Oklahoma Liquified Gas and Moran Pipe and Supply. Pat retired in 1982. Pat gave his life to the Lord in 1951 and has been a faithful Christian ever since. He loved his family and was greatly loved by them. Pat loved to hunt and fish, he was an excellent gardener and loved to play dominos, and even got to play with his great grandchildren and his great greatgrandchildren. Pat was a longtime faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole. Pat married Lorene (Goss) Stafford on August 18, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma. They were married for 71 years when, Lorene passed away on December 29, 2012. Pat is survived by his son Glenn E. Stafford and his wife Loretta of Hot Springs, Arkansas and his daughter, Wanda Callison and her husband Tom of Holdenville, Oklahoma. He is also survived by three sisters, Muriel Pemberton and Esther Phillis of Bowlegs, Oklahoma and Pearl Smith of Woodward, Oklahoma, his three grandchildren Angi Watters and her husband Lewie, Tammi Rich and her husband Kevin and Jeremy Stafford and his wife Candy, great grandchildren; Andrew Watters, Chelsea Robinson and her husband Dillon, Mason, Zane, Grace, and Olivia Watters, Duane Nance Jr., Melissa and Billy Houck, Jason and Jordan Stafford, great great-grandchildren Kacy and Kobe Nance, and Issac, Levi, Reagan and Kenzlee Houck. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lorene, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M, Thursday, October 2, 2014, at the First Baptist Church at 420 Reid Street in Seminole, Oklahoma. Officiating at the service will be Marvin Kehl and Matt Pollock. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens east of Seminole on Highway 270. Casket bearers will be Jeremy Stafford, Jason Stafford, Jordan Stafford, Andrew Watters, Mason Watters, Zane Watters, Kobe Nance and Duane Nance.
