Wayne Robert Hause, 82 year-old, longtime Seminole resident passed from this life Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was born August 22, 1926 in Claremore, Oklahoma to parents Caleb Wilson Hause and Margurite (Foster) Hause.rnrnWayne was ? Cherokee and a member of the Cherokee Nation; he was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole. Wayne loved to play music and played in a band for many years.rnrnWayne owned and operated the ?IWANA CLUB? east of Seminole from 1962-1981 and then from 1986-1988 when he retired. One of his regular customers and later a close family friend was Conway Twitty who Wayne convinced to switch from playing Rock-n-roll to Country. Conway would often perform at the IWANA CLUB.rnrnSurvivors include one son, Max Hause of Seminole, Oklahoma; two daughters, Marci Deere of Sherman, Texas and Jamie Hause of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma; one sister, Sherrill Sue Null of Seminole, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Bryan Hause, April Hause, Erick Douthit, Nikki Douthit, Wade Douthit, Jim Willis and Justin Willis; 19 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends including the Anson family to whom he was very close to.rnrnWayne is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bill Hause; two sisters, Audie Faye Brown and Betty Jane Hause.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Rev. Tim Tate will officiate the service.
