Wanda Tipton Scott, age 75 and former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, finished her journey on Saturday, October 10, 2009. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13th, at Konawa City Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. T. J. Hawkins will officiate. Pallbearers are Bob Guthrie, Ken Daniels, Archie Hall, and Robby Wood. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Scott, and Larry Scott. Wanda was born to Etta (Troutman) and Isaac Leander Walker Tipton on November 18, 1933 at Wewoka, Oklahoma. She attended Konawa High School, and married Henry C. Scott on July 17, 1951, in Konawa. Wanda worked at Tinker AFB and retired in 2006. She worked in Building 3001 as Machinist Security, and she wired B52 Bombers and worked with Cobalt. She is survived by one daughter, Connie Caywood; one son, Michael Scott; three grandchildren, Ladwana Caywood, Mitchell Scott, and Cade Mitchell; one sister, Georgia Hoskins; one brother, Tommy Joe Williams of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Scott, and one grandson, Christopher A. Caywood.
