Wanda Rice

Wanda Hope (Furr) Rice, 50 year old Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at her home in Seminole.  She was born July 26, 1966 in Gridley, California to parents Naomi T.L. (McSchooler) Furr and James L. Furr. Wanda was a homemaker who moved to Seminole nine years ago from California.  She attended The Lord’s Community Church in Seminole. Survivors include one son, Bradley S. Huffman of California, one daughter, Erica L. Rice of Oklahoma, four brothers, Mark Clark, Mike Clark, Richard Furr and Rodney Furr all of California.  One sister, Doris Furr of California, two grandchildren, Nathan S. Huffman and George Cordell Harjo.  Wanda is also survived by former husbands and the father of her children, Barry Huffman of Chicago and Mark Rice of Tennessee, and by a host of other family and friends. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, David Clark. Memorial services were held Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the Lord’s Community Church with Pastors Nita and Jim Moreland officiating. Cremation services were under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
