Wanda Mae (Kinder) Neely, age 89 and a longtime resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away at Ballard Nursing Center in Ada, Oklahoma. A special "thank you" goes to Shaena Abbott at Ballard's for all of her love and care given to our mother over the years. And, "thank you" to Elara Caring Hospice of Ada for all of their amazing care given to "Grandma", and a special thanks goes to Brittany.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 12, 2024 at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Rev. David Holland will officiate, and casket bearers will be the grandsons and a special nephew. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday night.
Wanda was born July 8, 1935 in Konawa, Oklahoma to George Kinder and Cleo Victoria (King) Kinder. She graduated from Vamoosa High School, and she worked as a home health aide for Central Oklahoma Family Medical Center of Konawa. Wanda was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Konawa, and she loved going to McSwain Theater in Ada. She also loved traveling and taking walks. She loved her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is survived by one son, Kelley W. Neely and wife, Donna of Konawa; one daughter, Brenda Cloud and husband, William of Konawa; one sister, Sandra Hawkins of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Judy Kinder of Byng, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Jon Cloud and Cheryl, Brea Cloud and Stephen, Daniel Cloud, Kacie Freeman and Michael; and Stephanie Joslin and Jon; and eight great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Cleo Kinder; two husbands, Arlie Neely and Harold Raper; two brothers, Harold Kinder and Bobby Ray Kinder; and one sister-in-law, Minnie Kinder.
