Wanda (Lively) Street of Hennessey, Oklahoma died peacefully Monday, February 11, 2019 at the age of 90. Wanda was born Wanda Lene Bray May 17, 1928 in Webber, Oklahoma to Jessie Randolph Bray and Ettie Lee Bray of Seminole.  She was one of 12 children and is preceded in death by 9 of her siblings. She graduated from Bowlegs High School in 1946. One of her favorite subjects was penmanship. She was always known for her beautiful handwriting and sweet written notes. On Christmas Eve in 1946, she married Vernon V Lively at his mother’s home on north Jefferson Street in Seminole surrounded by family and friends. Soon afterwards they headed to Lampus, California for work and adventure. They returned to Seminole upon the arrival of their first child Eddie DeWayne in 1948. Vernon and Wanda thrived in Seminole from 1948 to 1960 as owners of Lively’s Laundry and employment with Dowell Oil Company. Having 11 siblings of her own and the addition of 6 brother and sisters in-law, Wandalene became “Aunt Wanda” to a great many. She is revered to this day by many nieces and nephews that she took great pride in. In May of 1950 Wanda and Vernon welcomed baby girl Judy Arlene and in Oct of 1951 they welcomed Joyce LaVerne who sadly died two days later of complications from birth. In 1960 the Lively’s moved to Hennessey, Oklahoma where they started a go kart track, built a new home, raised their family and invested in the community for the remainder of their years. Wanda was a devoted christian and a member of the Church of Christ. She, along with some of  her extended family became founding members of The Church of Christ in Hennessey.  Wanda took great pride in raising her children, keeping her home, keeping the books for her husband’s endeavors and keeping the wheels turning on their many, many rv’ing adventures. She enjoyed camping, boating, playing cards, riding her “cycle”, entertaining her family and bowling. Wanda was a competitive bowler for many years and took home more trophies than she knew what to do with. In her later years, she and Vernon owned a cabin on Grand Lake where they made many memories and spent a considerable amount of time. After the death of her husband Vernon in 1992, she married her best friend Leroy Street of Enid, Oklahoma. They resided in Hennessey, stayed active in the Church of Christ and enjoyed making their rounds visiting family and friends. Wanda was eventually moved to Grove, Oklahoma to live out her final years. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Lively and their baby Joyce, husband Leroy Street and his daughter Carol Street, great-grandchild Lincoln Varner and great- grandchild Bryce Lively. She is survived by sisters Norma Sue Robinson of Oklahoma City and Ettie Louise Dye of Odessa, Texas, her son Ed and wife Pam Lively of Grove, Oklahoma, her daughter Judy and husband Rich McDuffie of Denton, Texas and her step daughter Cheryl Street of Edmond, Oklahoma,   8 grandchildren Cassidy and husband Brandon Lobaugh of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Eddie Lively Jr. of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Amber and husband Ryan Norton of Liberty Hill, Texas, Candice and husband Rick Sutherland of Leesburg, Florida, Carrie and husband Shawn Tatyrek of Yukon, Oklahoma, Bryan and Marie Morrison of Edmond, Oklahoma, Lee and husband Scott Malone of Corpus Christi, Texas, Matt McDuffie of Kent, Washington  16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Grandwood Assisted Living in Grove, Oklahoma for loving and taking such wonderful care of their mother in her final years. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Church of Christ at Seminole, located at 12040 Hwy 99 North in Seminole, Oklahoma with Lanny Jobe of the Blackwell Church of Christ officiating the service. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole. Casket bearers are Brandon Lobaugh, Coy Lobaugh, Ryan Norton, Jason Branson, James Lively and Louis Lively. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
