Wanda Lee Johnson

Wanda Lee Johnson, age 81, and longtime resident of Seminole County, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by her family and friends; Wanda was born November 18, 1933 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to George and Jewel (Ewing) Ward. She attended Sasakwa School and worked at Pleasant Grove School as head cook for many years. She enjoyed reading, watching westerns shows, and loved visiting with her family and friends. Wanda married David Rudolph “Rudy” Johnson on September 14, 1951 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Rudy preceded her in death on May 23, 1986. She is survived by two daughters, Sue Gray and her husband Terry; Sandra Kiker and her husband Garry; one son Danny Johnson and his wife Tina; and one daughter-in-law, Nancy Johnson, all of Seminole, Oklahoma. One sister, Geneva Davidson of Bristow, Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law, Kathline Johnson of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Margaret  Johnson of Owasso, Oklahoma and Glenda Ward of Bristow, Oklahoma. Twelve grandchildren and their spouses, David Johnson and Leslie Annanders, Darek Johnson and Marty Welp, Kacy and Jeremy Abney, Linsy and Nathan Ingmire, Jamie and Jim Bierd, Shelley and Eric Daniel, J.D. and Andrea Johnson, Antonio and Sarah Olvera, Scott and Lorrie Gray, Donnie and Misty Gray, Kristi and Ryan Creel and Kyle and Kari Kiker. Wanda is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren, Kaylee Johnson, Laycee Johnson, A.J. Barron, Raice Abney, Colton Ingmire, Lilly Ingmire, Baley Bierd, Cole Motes, Cooper Johnson, Carson Daniel, Bronc Johnson, Jett Johnson, Larry Case Johnson, Malayna Olvera, Diego Olvera, Wyatt Gray, Morgan Gray, Tanna Gray, Brody Creel, Kyla Kiker and Kara Kiker and many nieces and nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, J.W. Ward and Jim Ward, two sisters, Jeweldean Martin and Barbara Atwell, and one son Larry Johnson. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church with Duane Nance and Jeff Nance officiating. Pallbearers will be Scott Gray, Donnie Gray, J.D. Johnson, Kyle Kiker, David Johnson and Darek Johnson. Honorary bearers will be Jeremy Abney, Nathan Ingmire, Eric Daniel, Ryan Creel, Antonio Olvera, and Jim Bierd. The family will receive friends and family at a visitation on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home.
