Wanda Lee (Clark) Crenshaw, age 80 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away from this life October 16, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Pastor Zac Christian will officiate.
Wanda was born November 7, 1943 in Eagletown, Oklahoma to Roy Lee Clark and Hazel A. (Kennedy) Clark. She graduated from Idabel High School, and she received a Bachelor’s Degree from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Wanda married Willas Dale Crenshaw January 31, 1964 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, and she was a member of the United Methodist Church of Konawa. Wanda taught Pre-K through 8th grade at Macomb and Asher, Oklahoma where she retired. She was also a school librarian and had owned her own preschool before teaching at Macomb. She loved gardening, reading, and bird watching, and she was always teaching.
She is survived by one son, Joe Crenshaw and wife, Jackie of Konawa; one daughter, Jolene Poore and husband, Kenneth of Konawa; one brother-in-law, Harry Crenshaw and wife, Rita of Byng, Oklahoma; two sisters, Donna Clark of Konawa, and Virginia Lansdell of Ashdown, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Tipton of Ada, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Kenna Poore-Fox, Royce Blanton, Kalei Blanton, Chyanne Crenshaw, and Adriann Crenshaw; one great grandchild, Olivia Wilson-Blanton; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Hazel Clark; her husband, Willas Crenshaw; two brothers, Clem Clark and Kirk Clark; and one brother-in-law, Harold Lansdell.
