Wanda Lou Conner

Wanda Lou Conner, 71, longtime Seminole resident died, Friday, September 16, 2016 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Wanda was born September 8, 1945 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Lawrence L. Lewis and Shirley ( Knight) Lewis. Wanda also lived in Santa Maria, California for several years. Wanda was a homemaker and also for many years she worked at several Seminole businesses, including Homeland grocery, Sharpe’s Dry Goods and Wills Concrete Company. Wanda was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Seminole, Oklahoma.  She loved her children and being with her grandchildren. She also had a love of gardening. Wanda is survived by her sons; Donald Louis Conner of Seminole, Oklahoma and Michael Conner of Woodlawn, Illinois, two daughters Tammy Brookshier of Seminole, Oklahoma and Mary Young and her spouse Tracy Young of Seminole, Oklahoma, one brother Terry Longest and his wife Eloise of Seminole, Oklahoma and a sister Gina Butler-McKeehan and her husband Robert of Orcutt, California, her five grandchildren, Sommer Perry of Seminole, Oklahoma, Sierra Brookshier and fiancé Kelly Reese of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Jonathan Young of Enid, Oklahoma and Brittany Gwin and her husband Wes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, J.R. Robert Young of Prague, Oklahoma and one great granddaughter, Cloey Dawn Gwin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louis Conner, Jr., two brothers Rodney Longest and Mart Longest. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Doyle O. Long officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, Oklahoma, Casket bearers will be Tony Perry, Mickey Knight, Johnny Longest, Jimmy Longest, Bob Thompson and Tommy Kanard.
