Wanda Lee (Casey) Adams, 88 year old former Seminole and Paden area resident, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in Eufaula, Oklahoma, to be with our Lord and Savior. She was born May 13, 1926 in Subiaco, Arkansas to parents, Sollie Bert “Sol” Casey and Anna Jane (Quary) Casey. On July 25, 1954, Wanda married Clinton Bud Adams in Prague, Oklahoma. Following Bud’s Honorable discharge from his service in the United States Navy where he had served in WWII, the family made their home in the Prague area where Bud worked in construction, and was a police officer for the Prague Police Department in the 1950’s. Wanda and Bud both retired from Western Electric with Wanda retiring in 1975. Wanda was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Paden. Wanda inherited two passions from her mother, one was cooking for her family and friends and the other was quilting. Many of her relatives and friends have one or more of her quilts atop their beds. Wanda was a very devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and friend. Wanda leaves to cherish her memory one son, William F. “Bud” Ross, Jr. of Stidham, Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Verna Jean Fipps and her husband Sam of Paden, Oklahoma; one sister, Arletta Hensley and her husband Lynn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; Wanda is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; by her husband of 55 years, Clinton Bud Adams; one son, Freddie Lee Ross; one step-son, Robert Clinton Adams; one grandson, Freddie Keith Ross; one granddaughter, Amanda Ross; two great-granddaughters, Trisha Kay “Katy” Taylor and Leslie Lynn Fipps; by three brothers, Curtis Casey, Jessie Casey and Delmer Casey; by two sisters, Retta Mae Oliver and Imogene Austin. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Little Cemetery located north of Seminole, with Jim Eaststep officiating the service. Visitation will begin on Friday, April 3, 2015. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday evening.
