Walter Dale Downey

Walter Dale Downey, 76, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Seminole Care and Rehab Center, in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was born July 2, 1935 in Tyronne County, Missouri. Walter came to Seminole out of the U.S. Air Force in 1959. Walter later moved to Houston, Texas and then moved back to Seminole in 1992. Walter was retired from Jewelry Manufacturing. Walter was a member of the Baptist Church. His wife, Mary Elizabeth Martin, preceded Walter in death on November 5, 2011. Three sons, Martin Dale Downey, Wesley Warren Downey and Thomas Paul Downey and three daughters Elizabeth Ann Hellman, Rebecca Lynn Bobbitt and Susan Margaret Moore survive him. 15 grandchildren also survived him.
