Wallace Beacher Huff, age 83 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on Monday, October 4, 2010 at his home in Konawa. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Rev. Ed Bray, Pastor of Cross Timbers Church in Konawa will officiate. Pallbearers are Shawn Green, Jeremy Green, Darrell Huff, Bert Harris, Bo Harris, Brad Huff, and Brady Huff. Honorary pallbearers are Amy Hale, Heather Clay, and Aubry Huff. Wallace was born on May 27, 1927, at Rocky Point in Sasakwa, Oklahoma, to Effie (Babb) and Zill Huff. He married Tenzie Lois Blackwood on February 9, 1951 in Konawa. He worked as a Control Operator for Enogex Natural Gas Company. Wallace loved to spend time on the farm, go fishing, listen to country music, and to be with his children and his grandchildren. He is survived by four sons, Eugene Huff and wife, Peggy of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Joe Huff and wife, Karen of Macomb, Oklahoma, Tim Huff and wife, Crystal of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Gerald Huff of Konawa; two daughters, Cindy Carpenter and husband, Freddy of Vamoosa, Oklahoma, and Phoebe Harris and husband, Jeff of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Louie Huff of Tehama, California, and Furmon Huff of Burleson, Texas; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
