Former longtime Seminole resident Vivian Davis West passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 80. rnrnShe was born on July 31, 1928 in Mounds, Oklahoma to A.C. and Grace E. Davis. She was married to Eugene Alvis West; they were together for 48 years prior to his passing. She was a graduate of Seminole High School and lived most her life in Seminole until moving to the Moore / Norman area where she has been for the past 35 years. She was formerly employed with Star MFG and most recently with York Johnson Control for the past 20 years, where she was a brazier and made air conditioners. rnrnVivian was a member of the Emmaus Baptist Church in Moore where she was very active in her church. She cooked, went on mission trips, attended Falls Creek, and helped with the building fund and many other activities throughout the church. She was also very active with the Brand Senior Citizen in Moore and loved doing genealogy. rnrnShe is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Ragena and Mark Wheeler of Moore, Oklahoma, as well as a few cousins, an aunt and other friends that loved her dearly. rnrnShe was preceded in death by her parents: A.C. and Grace Davis and, husband, Eugene Alvis West and one brother, Alva C. Davis. rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 11:00am, Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Emmaus Baptist Church in Moore with a burial to follow at 2:30 pm at the Little Cemetery with Pastor Jim Lehew, associate pastor of the Emmaus Baptist Church officiating. rnrnIn lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Emmaus Baptist Church Building Fund or Mission Trip Fund, 16001 S.
