Vivian Huland “Bill” Phillips, age 89 and a life-long resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Belfair of Shawnee in Shawnee, Oklahoma. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Konawa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, and Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate. Visitation will begin on Thursday. Bill was born August 19, 1930 in Konawa to Hubert Raymond Phillips and Goldie Mae (Scroggins) Phillips. He married Emozett Tyler on March 13, 1953. He lived all of his life in Konawa except for ten years when he and Emozett lived in Norman, Oklahoma just after they married. He worked for Dolese Brothers Cement Company for twenty-seven years, and he was a company supervisor for Dolese for ten years. Bill was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Konawa, and he enjoyed working on his ranch at River Bend. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, one son, David Mitchell “Mitch” Phillips and wife, Pam of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Kathleen “Kathy” Nail and husband, Charles of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, and Marsha L. Bronniman of Ada, Oklahoma; one brother, Hubert Phillips, Jr. and wife, Linda of Konawa; one sister, Faye Minter and husband, Tom of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren, Tracy Burris and husband, Brad of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Stacy Gee and husband, Brad of Konawa, Clayton Phillips of Konawa, Heath Nail of Stratford, Oklahoma, Brett Nail and wife, Tiffany of Konawa, Joshua Bronniman and wife, Jen of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Logan Bronniman and wife, Brandi of Summersville, South Carolina; nineteen great grandchildren, Katelyn Burris, Claire Burris, Sarah Gee, Hannah Gee, Lydia Gee, Britney Turner, Halee Nail, Karsen Nail, McKenna Nail, Dalton Nail, Alyssa Nail, Mason Burris, Caden Burris, Cooper Bronniman, Emma Bronniman, Cheyenne Berna, Josey Berna, Jace Bronniman, and Reid Bronniman; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Goldie Phillips; his wife, Emozett Phillips; and two brothers, Marlin Edward Phillips, and Raymond L. “Buck” Phillips; and one son-in-law, Rod Bronniman.
