Vivian Ozelle Haffner, 91, former longtime Seminole resident died February 5, 2011 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Vivian was born January 27, 1920 in Howe, Texas. to Elisha Lee Brown and Maggie Zella (Spencer) Brown. Vivian had been living in Grand Prairie, Texas for the last few months near her brother. Vivian graduated from Seminole High School in 1937. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Seminole, Oklahoma and was a bookkeeper for a grocery store chain in California for many years. She moved to Seminole from San Leandro, California 43 years ago. Her brother Lee Brown of Grand Prairie, Texas, a sister Joyce Moore of Oregon and one niece, Terri Lockhart and husband William Ball. Her parents, three sisters Vera Carroll, Ivohne Lockhart and Wyma Joe Dimpel, husbands Nelson Creel, Buck Pace, Bud Lozier and Cleo “Doc” Haffner, preceded her in death. Graveside services were held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Little Cemetery in Seminole. Services were under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
