Virginia Mae (Bobbie) Villines Rackley, age 76, went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2020 after a brief struggle with cancer. She was born July 6, 1944 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to parents Jack Earl Mathews and Lilly Viola (Landers) Mathews. Virginia married Vernon Dale Villines in Seminole, Oklahoma and lived happily in Wolf Oklahoma for 35 years until he passed away in 2005. She then married Paul Grant Rackley on July 30, 2010 in Antlers, Oklahoma and they moved to Eufaula where they lived the past 10 years.
Virginia completed a high school education and owned a home beauty shop for many years. Her hobbies included cooking, singing, playing music, writing songs and travelling. She loved to sing gospel and country music and sang with her brother’s band. Virginia enjoyed fishing, rock collecting panning for gold and collecting vintage glassware.
Virginia spent ten years worshipping with her church family at Deeres Chapel Full Gospel Church in Eufaula where the congregation was blessed with her cooking and musical gifts, which included playing the electric piano and singing gospel music.
Virginia is survived by her husband Paul Rackley of Eufaula, Oklahoma and her beloved brother; Eugene Phillips (Lucky) Mathews and wife Anna of Watson, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her first husband; Vernon Dale Villines, her parents and brothers, Glen Earl Matthews and Jackie Ray Mathews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Instead of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Deeres Chapel Full Gospel Church in Eufaula, Oklahoma (918) 421-1034.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
