Virginia Mae (Sanderson) Sharver , age 66 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away March 17, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Bernice Campbell, Skip Foster, and Chief Lewis Johnson will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Casket bearers are Milo Fox, III, Todd Fox, Shane Fox, Cameron Sharver, Clayton Sharver, and Dylan Sanderson. Honorary bearers are Dennis Isaacs, Ian Isaacs, Beau Johnson, Justin Johnson, Milo Fox, II, Tony Sanders, Timmy Sanders, and Glenn Moore. The family will receive guests from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Virginia was born April 7, 1956 in Konawa to Albert Sanderson and Rosa Lee (Culley) West. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from East Central Oklahoma University of Ada, Oklahoma and was a Headstart Teacher for the Seminole Nation for thirty-five years. She married Quennion "David" Sharver on January 16, 1978 at David’s grandparents’ house in Konawa. Virginia was a member of the St. Louis Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, David Sharver of the home; two sons, David "LeAllen" Sharver and Billy Don Sanderson, both of Konawa; one daughter, Jamie Lynn Sharver of Konawa; four brothers, Milo Fox, II and wife, Shawn of Konawa, Bobby Sanderson of Ft. Worth, Texas, Larry Jesse of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Edmond Fox and wife, Angie of Seminole, Oklahoma; three sisters, Katie Isaacs and husband Dennis of Konawa, Shirley Wagner and husband, Ed of Browning, Montana, and Brenda Dailey of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Melody Sharver of Konawa; five grandchildren, Aaliyah Sharver, Cameron Sharver, Clayton Sharver, Cierra Sharver, and Dylan Sanderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Wayne Sanderson, Junior Sanderson, and Harold Fox; and two sisters, Maxine Carpitcher, and Lizzy Fox.
