Virginia Mildred (Freeman) Hiser

Virginia Mildred (Freeman) Hiser, age 83 and a long-time resident of Konawa passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Seminole Care and Rehabilitation Center in Seminole, Oklahoma. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24th at the Wanette Cemetery in Wanette, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma. Virginia was born on October 24, 1927, in Alexander City, Alabama, to Vernie (Wallace) and Frank Freeman.  She married Jack Hiser on December 9, 1949 in Alexander City.  They moved to Konawa in 1964.  Virginia was a homemaker who loved to crochet and to go shopping.  She was of the Baptist faith. Virginia is survived by her husband, Jack Hiser of the home; two daughters, Susan Hays and Judy Grotts, both of Konawa; three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Vernie Freeman, and five brothers.
