Virginia (Carpitcher) Cosar, age 74 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma. A Wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5th at Rock Springs Baptist Church near Sasakwa. Rev. Jimsey Harjo will officiate. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6th at the church, and Tony Buck and Woody Fields will officiate. Burial will follow at Wolf Cemetery located at 35542 EW 1330. Pallbearers are Travis Scott, Timothy Scott, Charlie Harjo, Michael Walker, William Narcomey, and Richard Rhodd. Honorary pallbearers are Mikkah Cosar, Reece Cosar, D.J. Cosar, Jon W. Isaac, and Dustin Anderson. Visitation is from 8:30 until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa. Virginia was born on January 26, 1939 to Weitna Carpitcher and Lily (Davis) Carpitcher in Wolf, Oklahoma. She married Andrew Gieson Cosar and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Ada. She is survived by two sons, Anthony Gordon Cosar and Mickey Lee Cosar, both of Ada; one daughter, Andrea Lily Cosar of the home; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Weitna and Lily Carpitcher; her husband, Andrew Gieson Cosar; four brothers, Freeland, Jack, Joe, and Robert Carpitcher; and two sisters, Katie Cass and Sally Martin.
