Virgie Pierce-Cullum

Virgie Louise (Pierce) Cullum, 83 year old longtime Maud and Seminole resident, went to Heaven on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Harrah Care Center.  She was born February 10, 1932 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, James Henry Pierce and Lois (Slaughter) Pierce. Virgie grew up in the Seminole County area.  She moved to California as a young woman where she had lived in Taft, Bakersfield and Fresno areas before moving back to Maud, Oklahoma in 1968. Virgie is survived by one sister, Rachel Hale of Maud, Oklahoma, and several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Virgie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lois Pierce; by her husband, Harvey Cullum; by one son, Rick Cullum; by three brothers, Raymond Taylor, Alfred Pierce and Charles Pierce; and by two sisters, Mary Brewer, and Dolly E. Pierce. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2015 at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma with Mickey Shaw officiating the service.
