Viola Kay (Wheeler)Lauderdale, age 56, passed away June 15, 2020 at her home in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. She was born August 8, 1963 in Modesto, California to parents Jimmy Wheeler and Joyce (Ross) Wheeler Godfrey. She was raised in Seminole, Oklahoma. Viola married James Lauderdale on November 23, 1991 in Seminole.

Viola is survived by her mother; Joyce D. Godfrey of Kansas City, Missouri, her husband, James Lauderdale of Bowlegs, Oklahoma, step children; Mike Lauderdale of Marlow, Oklahoma and Jennifer Lauderdale of Seminole, Oklahoma, brother; Jimmy Wheeler and his wife Cindy of Kansas, sisters; Bobby Jo Standberry and husband Mike of Seminole, Oklahoma and Cindy Kelough and her husband Ernest of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Dylan Gibson, Blake Barret, Ally Lauderdale, Tommy Lauderdale and Cortney Lauderdale and great grandchild; Ariya Gibson.

Viola will be cremated and there will be no funeral service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
