Vincent Haney

Longtime Seminole area resident Vincent Bryant Haney passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the age of 47.  Vincent was born on April 5, 1963 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Dora (Bear) and Ernie Haney. He graduated from Strother High School in 1981. He was a member of the Hecete Band, Alligator Clan and a Seminole Nation Tribal Member. He was an avid OU and sports fan. He also loved music. Vincent began his career with Exxon Mobil on July 10, 1991   where he was a production specialist in the recycling department for 19 years.  He married Deanne (Miller) on November 23, 1999 in Seminole, Oklahoma.   Vincent was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, son, nephew and friend and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.  He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Deanne Haney of the home, three sons, Colton Haney, Connor Haney and Zac Self and daughter, Kelsey Neconish all of the home. He is also survived by his mother, Dora Haney of Shawnee, three brothers and sister-in-laws; Tracy and Paula Haney of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Stacy Haney and Mary Soap of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Eric Haney and Redena Colungo of Shawnee, Oklahoma, brother and sister-in-law, Billy Tiger and Dana Miller, aunt, Nora Lefthand and uncles, Porter Bear, Jr. Ron Bear and Jerry Haney, numerous nieces and nephews also survive him. He is preceded in death by his father Ernie Haney and grandparents, Porter and Venus Bear and Willy and Winey Haney.  Wake services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday July 9, 2010 wake services will be held at the Hitchitee United Methodist Church beginning at 6:00 P.M. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Strother Gym with Pastor Randall Miller, George Mooney and Billy Merritt officiating.  Interment will follow at Bear Family Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be: Steve Hill, Silas Hill, Aaron Bounds, Randy Sigle, Joe Victory, Jamal Kahalil and Jordan Haney.  Honorary Bearers will be: Christian Tiger, Billy Tiger, Stacy Haney, Tracy Haney, Eric Haney, Mike Bear, Bennett Kline, Roman Bear and Sean Lefthand.
