Victor Harjo

Victor Harjo, Shawnee, Oklahoma resident, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 in Tulsa, at the age of 62.  Victor was born on April 23, 1961 in Oklahoma City to Eugene Franklin Harjo and Elouise Factor.

Victor was a very friendly and outgoing person.  He knew everyone and had a lot of friends.  Victor loved sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs.  He always went to church with his mother.

Victor is survived by his mother, Elouise Factor; father and step-mother, Eugene and Mary Harjo; three brothers, Carlos Wayne Harjo, Darrell Gene Harjo and Benny John Harjo; two sisters, Augustine Harjo and Shannon Humphrey; host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.

Victor was preceded in death by his sister, Cassandra Lynne Harjo.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Rodney Harjo, Eric Harjo, Terry Harjo, Chris McHenry, Robert Harjo and Terry Ritche.  Honorary casket bearers will be Curtis Davis, Frank Teboe and L. J. Teboe.

A wake will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Bird Creek Baptist Church in Sasakwa, Oklahoma with Pastor Walter Factor and Rev. Jerry Sumka officiating.  Interment will follow at Bird Creek Family Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
