Verlin Mae Miller, 81, longtime Seminole resident, died Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with her family by her side. Verlin was born September 9, 1932 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Virgie Mae (Goff) and J. Henry Weston. Verlin grew up in Seminole and graduated from Varnum High School as their Valedictorian. She was a longtime faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Girl Scout Leader, Rainbow Mom, Cub Scout Den Mother, Boy Scout Mom and Member of the Homemaker Club of America and a member of the 45th Infantry Women’s Auxiliary. Verlin was a homemaker, and also worked along side her husband and family at the Miller Plant Farm north of Seminole. Verlin married Archie Dale Miller on August 25, 1950 in Seminole. He preceded her in death on July 19,2008. Verlin is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and David Tillman of Benbrook, Texas, two sons and daughter-in-law’s, Glen and Stacey Miller of El Reno, Oklahoma and David and Anna Miller of Ogden, Utah; two sisters and brothers-in-law; Mary and Jerry Minihan of Seminole, Oklahoma and Lelia and Gene Dixson of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; Chase Bilbrey and his wife Tina of Dallas, Andrew and Erin Miller of El Reno, Oklahoma, Aeryn, Annika and Danali Miller of Ogden, Utah, and two great-grandchildren, Korbin Bilbrey and Riley Bilbrey of Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Archie Miller, a daughter, Linda Diane Miller, a brother, Jud Weston, a granddaughter, Emily Miller, and son-in-law, Stan Bilbrey. Funeral services are planned for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Little Cemetery. Honorary casket bearers will be Chase Bilbrey, Andrew Miller, Erin Miller, Aeryn Miller, Annika Miller and Danali Miller.
