Velda Mae Fox, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at the age of 62. rnrnShe was born on June 6, 1944 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania: the daughter of the late Eugene and Jackie Board Fox. The family settled in Parkersburg, West Virginia, where she graduated with a R.N. degree from the Camden-Clark Hospital School of Nursing. During her nursing career, she served as a Public Health nurse, a TB nurse and as a psychiatric nurse. She was retired/disabled from the Timothy B Moritz Forensic Psychiatric Center of the State of Ohio in 1988. rnrnShe will be remembered and missed for her quick wit and intelligent, inquisitive mind.rnrnShe is survived by her sister; Debra Fox and husband Bob Meyers, her niece; Chloe J. Fox and her nephew; Ben Fox, all of Maud.rnrnSurvivors also include her favorite aunt; Audra Wilds of Bowerston, Ohio; four sisters; Judy Casto of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Betty Bessent of Orange Park, Florida, Diana Jones of Green Bank, West Virginia, Barbara Woolcock of Cross Lanes, West Virginia, brother; Roderick D. Fox of Little Hocking, Ohio; uncle, Pete Fox of Spencer, WV, and various nieces, nephews and cousins.rnrnA Visitation will be held Monday, July 31, 2006 from 4-7pm, at the Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud. After cremation, the remains will be interred in the Fox Family cemetery in Spencer, West Virginia.rnrnThe family wishes to thank the staff of the Maud Housing Authority, Lucy Jean Mason of Ada, Oklahoma, the staff of the Behavioral Medicine Unit at Norman Regional Hospital and especially the Maud Volunteer Fire Department for the many runs to her home over the past years.rnrnIn lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Maud Volunteer Fire Department, either at the Maud City Clerks office or to P.O.
