Van D. “John” Anthony, 65 Van D. “John” Anthony, a Seminole resident since 1975, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 65. John was born May 5, 1950 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to parents, Van D. Anthony and Nancy (Cordell) Anthony. John attended Westin High School in Tulane, California. He was a support manager at Wal-Mart. John married Brenda Jones on January 9, 1982 in Seminole, Oklahoma. John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Brenda Anthony; one stepson, Tim Strickland of Seminole, Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Tiffany Strickland of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Phyllis Aldridge of Seminole, Oklahoma; six step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. John is also survived by two dogs, Sis and Lightning who he loved and treated as his children. John was preceded in death by his parents, Van D. and Nancy Anthony; one son, Damien John Anthony; one sister, Peggy Orisio. A private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
