Funeral services for Seminole resident Vada Onita Norman are scheduled for 10:30am, Friday, Septemberrn7, 2007 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Lowrance officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.rnrnVada passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at her home at the age of 86. rnVada was born August 14, 1921 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Shird Curtis and Lucy Pearl (Winkles) Merriman. She was raised in Holdenville and went to Hendel School in Gum Springs. rnrnShe married Jesse James Norman on December 2, 1939. While residing in California she was employed as a seamstress, salesperson and defense industry specialist. rnrnShe was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years; her parents; two sons, James and Billy Lee Norman; one granddaughter, Katy Norman; one great grandson, David Ryan Norman; two brothers, Carl Lee and Lonnie Merriman; two sisters, Dorothy (Merriman) Johnston and Evelyn (Merriman) Elliott.rnrnSurvivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Doyle Wall of Corona, California, Carolyn and David Bellini of Kingman, Arizona and Linda and Robert Monroe of Beaumont, California; one daughter-in-law, Marie Norman of Konawa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Claretta Norman of Konawa, Oklahoma, Mildred Lancaster of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, Elva Phillips of Seminole, Oklahoma; four brothers, Arlen Merriman, of Yackama, Washington, Wayne Merriman of Roseville, California, Gene Merriman of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Dean Merriman of Ventura, California. Other survivors include grandchildren; Dennis and Earline Wall, Dale and Tammy Wall, Cynthia and Paul Reeves, David and Denise Norman, Daniel and Alice Bellini, Michael Bellini, Julia Bellini, Scott and Kelly Bellini, Melissa and Todd Graham, Theresa and Art Perez and Shelly Norman. Great grandchildren; Jason, Dennis, Chris, Joshua, Brandon, Mariah and Amber Wall, and Joshua, Yvette, Paul, Amanda, Jacob and Shaylie Norman and Ashley, Dominick, Payge, Danielle, Rocky, Zachary and Addison Bellini, James and Jacquline Perrault, Corey and Jessica Wallace, Arthur, Madison, Gabriel and Drake Perez as well as great grandchildren, Dakota and Tyler Norman.
