Ulyesses Samuel "Sammy" Anders

Sammy Anders, age 60 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011, at Integris Seminole Medical Center in Seminole, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa.  Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Frank Brewer will officiate. Sammy was born on October 5, 1950, to Madge (Rodden) and Sam Anders in Ada, Oklahoma.  He married Bertha (Lee) and worked as a Roughneck for the oilfield industry.  He lived most of his life in Konawa and was a member of the Church of Christ.  Sammy enjoyed fishing and visiting with friends. He is survived by his mother, Madge Anders of Konawa; one son, Samuel “Sambo” Anders of McAlester, Oklahoma; one daughter, Samantha Anders of Ada, Oklahoma; one sister, Carma Green of Konawa, and one grandchild.
