Truman Lee Waltman, age 87 and a resident of Bakersfield, California, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 under the care of Ross Hospice at his son’s home in Blanchard, Oklahoma. A Graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2018 at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma with Melvin Huff officiating the service. Viewing will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma. Truman was born February 23, 1931 in Maud, Oklahoma to Martin Waltman and Florence (Bussey) Waltman. He was an investigator for the Bakersfield, California Sheriff’s Department. He loved fishing, hunting, and watching Nascar, and Truman was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys Football Team. He married Pat Moore on February 24, 1968 in Bakersfield, California. They were blessed with two loving sons and two loving daughters. He is survived by his wife, Pat (Moore) Waltman of the home; two sons, Jeff Waltman and wife, Bonnie of Blanchard, Oklahoma, and Gary Waltman and wife, Lana of Oregon; two daughters, Donna Cobbs and husband, Lonnie of Bakersfield, California, and Kelley Eaton and husband, Wayne of Arizona; one sister, Pauline Wilson of Texas; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Florence Waltman; and two brothers, Bill and Paul Waltman. Funeral Information: January 5, 2019, 2:00 PM
